AGR GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT AWARDS - 2012

Why enter the AGR Graduate Development Awards?

• Regardless of whether you win, entering the AGR Awards will push you to Measure and evaluate, leading to more impressive results, which you can use to build your reputation with your stakeholders.
• Winning delivers Recognition — for the team, in your business, in your profession — showing the highest level of achievement and contribution. Be interviewed for Graduate Recruiter; speak at conferences.
• Winning opens doors for generating Publicity & Building Brand — build your employer brand and graduate scheme brand. Use the AGR logo on your advertising, to attract the best graduates.

GO ON GIVE IT A GO! Your programme is better than you probably realise — you have got to be in it, to win it!

What will an award-winning entry demonstrate?

We are NOT just looking for innovative activities, we strongly believe that good examples of implementing and sustaining best practice, “getting the basics right” can be as effective in ensuring high standards are achieved in the graduate industry. With exception to the “Innovation in business-led development” award category, your entry could demonstrate either of the below:

• Innovation — a new and original approach that others can adopt or adapt. This can be a single initiative, or several initiatives that together make up an innovative body of practice. We are looking for thought leadership in how graduate development can be delivered.
• Best Practice — best practice is easy to describe, but hard to implement. We want to see a story of driving forward best practice, despite challenges, that will inspire others with practical strategies for how to deliver the highest standards. The Award is likely to be given at the point where the Graduate Team have worked to deliver greatly improved graduate development. We are looking for organisations that can stand as role models for how to raise the bar in graduate development.

In either case, to win an Award you will need to present evidence of positive impact for the graduates or organisation. This can include:

• Quantitative evidence — hard figures, pre and post measures, survey data, appraisal or retention data.
• Qualitative evidence — examples, case studies, testimonials.
