The AGR recently appointed three new board members who will officially take up their posts in December.

The Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR), the leading independent employer group for UK-based graduate recruiters, has appointed three new directors to the board:   Marina Aldridge, Head of Resourcing & Recruitment at the Audit Commission, Rebecca Martin, Graduate Programme Manager at the Co-operative Group and Donna Miller, Human Resources Director, European Operations at Enterprise Rent-A-Car.  Their appointments were confirmed at the annual AGM and the new directors will formally take up their posts in December.

Marina Aldridge

Marina began her career working for Prudential Assurance Co in a variety of technical support roles.  In 1991 Marina moved to Scotland and joined the HR department of Grampian Regional Council.  Six years later she moved to Essex and joined Visteon (formerly part of Ford Motor Co).  She became a member of the CIPD and gained level A and B status in psychometric testing.  In 1999 Marina Joined the Audit Commission as a Recruitment Manager, taking responsibility for the graduate recruitment scheme. 

Marina has been a member of the AGR since 2001.  She was one of the founder members of the Public Sector task group and was part of the Conference Planning team in 2003. 

Rebecca Martin

A Chemistry graduate from Sheffield University, Rebecca spent her first few years in HR with AON in Sheffield supporting the recruitment for three new offices in Cardiff, London and Edinburgh. A move in 2002 brought her to the Co-operative Group where she has held roles in HR, Training & Development, Recruitment and HR Project Management. Re-designing the Co-operative Group’s existing business programmes into a completely new corporate graduate programme for 2005 has been a key focus of her project management role and culminated in her appointment to the role of Graduate programme manager, encompassing all aspects of the programme from recruitment to operations and development.

Donna Miller

As the Human Resources Director of European Operations for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Donna Miller oversees all aspects of people development for Enterprise in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany, which include more than 4,700 employees. Donna began her career at Enterprise Rent-A Car on the Management Training scheme and in her 15 years with the company has been instrumental in the recruitment growth for Enterprise in the U.S., Canada and Europe.

Ruth Stokes, Head of Recruitment Operations, KPMG;

Adrian Thomas, Technical Partner — Resourcing, The Royal Bank of Scotland;

Anne Farquharson, Marketing Manager, The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland (ICAS);

Sonja Stockton, New Talent Manager, Human Resources, National Grid Transco;

Navjot Singh, Global Marketing Manager — Recruitment, Shell;

Kerry Jarred, Head of Graduate Recruitment, Herbert Smith;

Helen Bostock, Vice President, Marketing & Communications, JP Morgan.
