E-Membership for Small Business

The Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) has now launched a new online membership scheme to help organisations with up to 250 employees to recruit, retain and develop graduates.

The Association of Graduate Recruiters is the recognised national voice for all employers involved in graduate recruitment. It now has around 800 members including a significant number of public and private sectors businesses. It represents those providing a high proportion of graduate vacancies in the UK and is involved with research in and around the recruitment needs of employers.

The online membership package for small and medium sized organisations will cost only £150 + VAT per year. Benefits include access to both the summer and winter Graduate Recruitment surveys as well as other pieces of research and briefing papers, an online subscription to the bi-monthly magazine, Graduate Recruiter, as well as regular news and information via the members-only website, and the opportunity to participate in discussion forums on issues affecting the sector.

To coincide with the launch of the e-membership, AGR has also published a detailed guide for smaller companies on attracting and retaining graduates. The guide includes sections on:

  • what kind of graduates to target
  • how to advertise for graduates
  • selecting the right candidates
  • developing graduate employees in the longer-term

SMEs can pay an additional fee for a number of other resources, including a private consultation with the AGR’s Chief Executive, Carl Gilleard, training for the AGR standard, a competency framework for graduate recruiters, participation in AGR Live master classes and attendance at the annual conference. Who is Eligible for Membership? - Organisations with 250 employees or less who are recruiting graduates or placement students to work in their company.  Note, agencies who are recruiting on behalf of their clients will need to apply for supplier membership.

What is it? - Electronic membership to the Association of Graduate Recruiters.

Benefits

  • The Graduate Recruitment Survey (Summer and Winter Reviews): This is a vital tool, used extensively by our members to set graduate salaries in line with their competitors and to compare selection and recruitment activities. All those who sign up to this type of membership have to agree to complete the AGR survey.
  • Graduate Recruiter Magazine:  Online copy of the magazine which is published six times a year; it carries all the latest news and features on graduate recruitment.
  • Research Reports and Briefing Papers:  All new cutting edge research by AGR will be available in an online summarised format for e-members. Including in-depth studies on retention; graduate skills; and graduate job hunting.
  • Members-Only Website:  Providing up-to-date news and information, including the Business Directory and Discussion Forum.
