How to design and implement a graduate marketing strategy that attracts the best graduates for your organisation



The recent economic downturn has undoubtedly changed the way you need to market graduate and placement schemes. Students are suddenly more aware of the need to apply early, and as a result recruiters are seeing increased numbers of applications earlier in the season. This changing landscape, combined with the increased focus on recruitment budgets, means that it is more important than ever to get your marketing right.

A more efficient, targeted approach will help you to save money, but you need to be confident that you are still reaching the right students and attracting those that are really motivated to work for your organisation. The alternative is to either spend too much on inefficient programmes, or attract too many students who may not be a good match, resulting in additional burdens on your team when you try to sift out the right ones for the selection process.

This workshop focuses on the role of strategic graduate marketing and will enable you to design and implement a graduate marketing strategy which is right for your organisation

Delivered by an expert tutor with additional input from guest speakers from the industry, this two day expertise session looks at best practice in graduate attraction, focusing on the tools, techniques and strategies that you need in order to build highly effective marketing strategy.

• Select the right marketing activities for your organisation which will appeal to your target audience and differentiate you from your competitors.
• Make an informed choice from a variety of different marketing tools from traditional paper based media to up to the moment online marketing options .
• Create a measurable implementation plan for your marketing strategy that will allow you to keep up to date with key activities throughout the recruitment year and measure their effectiveness.
• Engage and manage key stakeholders in your business to get their buy in.
• Work with suppliers to develop and implement your marketing strategy.
• Link the graduate marketing strategy with your organisation’s graduate selection activities and development programmes.
• Align your marketing process with all legal requirements & the latest legislation
• Identify strategies for measuring the effectiveness of your marketing plan and it’s return on investment.
