Unpaid internships damage pay prospects for graduates


The Institute for Social and Economic Research at the University of Essex have revealed that, after graduating, former interns will earn less (roughly £3,500 less), compared with those who went straight into paid work.

The study also found that those who took internships were less likely to be satisfied with their career or go on to professional or managerial roles, compared with those who had gone straight into work.
